Arnold (Al) Meloche
Arnold (Al) Meloche was born in Nogales, Az. in 1935 and moved to San Diego in 1949 where he currently resides. He has retired three times and now devotes his to time to art and travel.
Al attended college to become an industrial art teacher. While in college he worked in many forms of art: jewelry, sculpture pottery, wood carving, and painting with oil, acrylics, water color, pencil, and ink. He has won awards in competitions for his sculptures and water colors.
Al's art is now influenced by Nature's natural product. He carves unique walking sticks and scenes in wood, draws and paints sea shells or anything that Mother Nature will let him recycle in an art form. He paints scenes and animals on Peacock feathers in acrylics.
